Hole 5 is certainly one of the most beautiful fairways in the Adamstal Golf Club with a direct view of the Unterberg. The striking rock formations that gave hole 5 its name only emerged during construction. The golf course designer Jeff Howes originally wanted to remove them, but he let Franz Wittmann convince them to keep them in the hole design.
The ball is hit with a long iron or fairway wood over the striking, right rock edge, then a short iron remains in the green. Ideally, you attack the flag from the right and thus the easier side. Too much aggressiveness punishes two green bunkers and the falling green.
