Hole 16

R1 Kehre

The old test track of the place owner Franz Wittmann led over this fairway and reminds of his motorsport related past. He laid the foundation stone for his 12 Austrian championship titles. R1 Kehre is an abbreviation from the so-called prayer book of a rally driver, in which route notes are recorded. R1 Kehre is a sharp right-hand bend, and you can still experience rally feeling at the Adamstal Golf Club today.

Pro tips

Similar to hole 8, the 16 also requires a solid iron stroke from the tee. Please keep left: Right “missed” balls disappear in the thick bushes. Here, too, the path leads away from tee via a dominant depression that often intimidates Bogey players. The big green is leaning towards tee.
